A collateral exhibition at the 55th Venice Biennale, it reflects upon noise as a necessary condition and integral part of communication. All the artists in the exhibition explore the aesthetics of noise, called at once “a stench in the ear, undomesticated music, and the chief product and authenticating sign of civilization”.
